Why Isn’t My Adderall Working Anymore?
Question by rockstar: Why isn’t my Adderall working anymore?
I am 25 and since I was in middle school, I have been prescribed every form of ADHD medication and Adderall has always worked the best. I recently went off of it for a few months and had to get back on it because I couldn’t focus. The Dr. prescribed me the same dose as last time, 20mg 2x/day. It’s not working very well though and it did wonders before. The only difference is I also at the same time started a new medication, Zoloft and I have lowered my anxiety medication by 1/3, which is hard but I don’t want to be on so much Klonopin since I know it is addictive. I have read that Zoloft doesn’t cause attention problems, but it was not from any reputable sources so who knows. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be happening? Does it mean that there is a drug interaction? Or maybe do I need to go up in dosage? I just don’t want to take too high of a dose because I don’t like to take too much medication but I also know I need it so I will do what needs to be done. I appreciate all your help and advice! Thanks!
