Question by dior_84: what causes cocaine/alch addicts to lash out?
Has anyone expierienced being in a relationship with a cocaine addict who treats them well one minute then hates them the next? Why do they get so hot and cold?

I haven’t. But it’s probably because of things like depression after they take them and/ or it’s to expensive.

Cocaine causes A LOT of chemical imbalances in the body, so it’s no surprise that it causes hormonal imbalances and chem imbalances in the brain as well. Not to mention, they are often in an altered state of being which agitates the body, even if they don’t realize it. Just take is as the body’s way of lashing out b/c of all of the ups and downs it’s suffering from the drugs. Drugs aren’t natural and aren’t meant to be in the body, so the body spazzes (including the frontal lobe of the brain which is kind of like our behavioral filter, conscience, etc.), and mood swings are one of the results.
