My had a lot of addictions in the past. She said that her addictions were at their peak when she was pregnant with me, drinking a lot of alcohol and doing at least $ 100 a day of cocaine. When I was born, there were no signs of anything wrong with me, and I didn’t have any symptoms of withdrawal, so my mom took me from the hospital. She left me with another family for half a year while she got clean, and that was the end of it. Now, I am 19, I got all A’s in school, and am outwardly normal. But I am wondering what the psychological or mental effects of the alcohol and cocaine could have had on me, as well as the short separation at birth, because I know I am different than others in a few ways, and want to see if there is at least a reason that I am who I am.
