A first time cocaine user will only experience one withdrawal symptom, which is craving for more cocaine. A first time user will not experience the other withdrawal symptoms, such as depressed mood, restless behavior, fatigue, slowing of activity, ect.
The craving for more cocaine will be a mild craving that will start the moment you stop taking cocaine and will last several hours, and the craving will pop-up a few random times after for about a week. It is a very weak craving that can be overpowered, however, since you enjoy the rush cocaine gives you and you believe you have control over when you want to take cocaine you will most likely continue taking.
People who are cocaine dependent will experience extreme craving for cocaine to the point where they do not have the power to overcome the craving part and continue taking cocaine – basically just saying the craving part is the part which people cannot overcome when they’re cocaine dependent.
