Cocaine is a very serious drug. It affects your brain serotonin and it impairs your judgement. It’s incredibly dangerous and incredibly addictive so if she’s using actively she is probably addicted. Addiction is very scary so please just watch out for her and try to get her help.

uh, yes, cocaine is highly addictive. Physically, it keeps you on high alert all the time and is a huge stressor on the body’s metabolic functions. Mentally, it frequently makes people feel fantastic (hence the addictive nature of it). Ex users say it made them feel smarter, more capable, inexhaustible, loved even. It’s almost always a way to cover some kind of pain. In the meantime, it’s killing off brain cells in droves and destroying neuronal connections, severing ties with reality. Besides these aspects, buying & using cocaine is the perfect way to support highly dangerous and destructive social problems. You’re right to be worried about your friend. I hope she finds the desire and ability to stop using.
