Lots of sniffling, they will claim to have a cold or allergies. Often need to find time alone – long periods of time spent behind closed doors. In between fixes will complain of being tired, then you will notice they have a lot of energy. Be short of money. Blood shot eyes, nose bleeds, dilated pupils, irrational, mood swing and anxiety….of course not all signs have to be present. My father, ex -boyfriend and ex-husband all were coke users…Me I never touched the stuff.

your best bet is just to ask him…his reaction should tell you all you need to know….but the symptoms of cocaine abuse can be the same as someone who is not getting enough sleep..
agitation, red and “darting” eyes, a constant fixation with touching or rubbing the nose, the nose is red and inflammed, quick to anger but also quick to forget that anger, irritable, blood shot eyes….stuff like this…..but like I said (minus the nose thing) these are the same symptoms as sleep depravation. You should just ask him. he’s either going to explode on you because you have figured out his secret and he’s ashamed…he’ll tell you the truth, or he’ll be evasive and deny it jokingly.
when I was a kid, my step dad did A LOT of cocaine. We all knew it, but he would get sooo angry if we would say anything. he was ashamed of it, but he wouldn’t admit it. when anyone outside or immediate family would say something, he would either get angry and tell them it wasn’t their business, or he would jokingly explain it off as something else… he did this for years until one day he finally had to admit it and got help (that’s a long story about how that happened)… while I was working on my masters in psych, I studied a lot about drug users and the psychology behind the addiction….what my step dad did was pretty normal for “druggies”….
