Question About Quitting Cocaine?

Question by : Question about Quitting Cocaine?
My boyfriend is going through a very difficult time right now. He’s having family problems, so he started using cocaine again to make himself feel better and so he can sleep. He used to be addicted, but then he was clean. He started up again with this stress.

I want him to quit, and he says he wants to quit for me, so I was wondering if he needs to see a doctor for this. I’ve read that some withdrawal symptoms can kill a person. Will he be okay?

I’m afraid he will start back up again once the withdrawal hits and he doesn’t feel well anymore. He gets the stuff for free which does not help at all -__-

He’s lethargic, he has all the depression symptoms, and he has anxiety attacks. I know him quitting will help a lot of his depression.

Thank you
What on earth are you talking about? Was that even relevant to what I was asking?

No he will be fine if he quits cold turkey (physically I mean) He will probably be tempted however. Quitting cocaine is only really dangerous when you have been doing it consistently for a very long period of time. If he’s only just started again then there really shouldn’t be a problem with him quitting. To help him though it would probably be best to see a doctor, for emotional support and any therapy he might want to try for his depression, anxiety and sleep patterns.
